Sunray for Children is a UK registered charity supporting Slovak and Czech families living in England and Wales who are facing challenging life situations.

Our Impact (2022–2025)
Since our establishment in 2022, Sunray for Children has supported families through guidance, information and ongoing assistance.
Support provided:
- Over 150 consultations delivered
- 142 families supported through telephone consultations
- 32 families supported via email
- 15 families supported via video consultations
Duration of support:
- 64 cases resolved within 6 months
- 44 families supported for more than 6 months
- 13 families supported for over one year
What We Do
We provide guidance and support to families in vulnerable or difficult situations, including:
- navigating the UK social system
- understanding family law processes
- accessing appropriate services and support
- providing practical and emotional guidance
Our services are delivered through:
- telephone consultations
- email communication
- video consultations
Community & Cultural Activities
We organise and participate in community activities that support cultural identity and connection:
- International children’s project “Deň slnka” (Day of the Sun)
- Cultural workshops (traditional crafts and activities)
- Slovak traditional costume presentations
- Community events
International Cooperation
We collaborate with partner organisations, including Lúč pre dieťa, and participate in international initiatives and conferences focused on supporting children and families.
Recognition
Our founder and Chair, Dagmar Szabo, received a Letter of Appreciation from the Ambassador of Slovakia in recognition of long-term voluntary work supporting families and communities.

We aim to:
- expand support services for families in difficult situations
- strengthen partnerships with community organisations
- increase awareness of available support
- secure funding for sustainable programmes
